Bruce Rand is a licensed New York State real estate salesperson affiliated with the MYNY Frederick Douglas office. A lifelong New Yorker, Bruce brings decades of high-level negotiation, market analysis, and client-focused experience to his real estate practice.

Bruce began his career studying mathematics in college, a foundation that shaped his analytical approach to business. He went on to spend six years working for a chain of approximately 40 food stores throughout the five boroughs of New York City, where he was responsible for negotiating new store leases, renewing existing leases, and resolving complex landlord-tenant issues across a diverse portfolio.

He later joined a member firm of the American Stock Exchange, where his analytical skills allowed him to launch his own proprietary trading firm. Bruce became a member of the exchange with full access to the trading floor, specializing in equity and commodity options during their early development. Using mathematical modeling, he developed valuation formulas based on time decay and market volatility. His success ultimately led to membership in both the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) and the Chicago Board of Trade.

Bruce’s next venture took him into the world of fine designer jewelry. Partnering with his wife, an artist, and designer, he helped build a successful national brand. As head of sales, Bruce negotiated major agreements with leading department stores across the country as well as high-end boutique jewelry retailers.

Most recently, Bruce secured his New York State real estate license, bringing his lifelong passion for New York City real estate into focus. Having lived in NYC his entire life, he has witnessed firsthand the evolution of its neighborhoods and understands what makes each one unique. Known as a true people person, Bruce enjoys helping renters find the neighborhood that best fits their lifestyle and guiding buyers and sellers through transactions with confidence, fairness, and transparency.
